Name: Alastair
Nicknames: N/a
Gender: Male
Age: 3 1/2
Breed(s): Siberian Husky
Height: 23 inches
Weight: 46 pounds
Physical Description: He is a strong, well-built dog, with a wolf like appearance. His coat is predominantly grey in colour with white paws and legs, facial markings and tail tip. He has grey circles around his eyes which meet at the top of the muzzle and contine down to the tip of his nose. His chest and underbelly are white. There is a lighter grey-bron colour on his thighs and along his sides, mixing in with the grey of his coat. His back is a darker grey, almost black, colour.
He has a relatively thick coat of fur, with the guard hairs (outside hairs) being short. His coat is rough and scruffy to feel, except on his head, where it is softer feeling. His ears are triangular in shape and pointed upwards. His tail is a sickle tail; it curves upwards slightly at the tip. He appears to have 'snow nose', it has partially lost its black colour and is pink with black around the nostrils.
Eyes: His right eye is a sky blue colour and his left eye is a deep amber colour.
Noticeable scars & Accessories: None
Personality: He is a very energetic dog, with enough stamina to allow him to keep running for a great length of time. He enjoys running and loves the snow. He is able to take care of himself and can catch prey without too much difficulty. However, he is clumsy and finds it hard to maneuver around trees and rocks with as much ease as his prey does. This often results in him failing the hunt and forces him to pick out weaker animals.
A very intelligent dog, he can work out most problems and is able to determine if an animal has an injury or is weak with ease. He is very sociable and loves company, helping and travelling with any dog he may meet. This can be a downfall as he is very trusting and will believe anything a 'friend' tells him. He can be stubborn at times, rather doing things his way, even if it's wrong.
Fears: He is scared of the water, having nearly been drowned when he was a young pup.
Strengths: Great stamina, intelligent
Weaknesses: Stubborn, too trusting, bad maneuverability
History: He was born into a human's world. He was the only pup in a litter of three that had survived; one being still born and the other too weak to survive the night. His mother had been someone's pet, impregnated by a stray husky, whom left shortly after. At first, life as a pet was like living in luxury, meals when he wanted it, a warm, dry place to sleep, and a caring family. But he was soon taken from his mother and sold to another human, a much crueller one.
This human nearly starved him, left him out in the cold, and beat him. It seemed that this human only really wanted a 'punchbag', something to blame for everything that was wrong with his life. One day, he got really angry and took Alastair to the bathroom, where he tried to drown him. However, Alastair struggled and managed to get free of the human's grip, knocking him over and killing him in the process.Alastair ran as far away as he could, deep into the forest where he made his home.
When the disease wiped out the humans, Alastair wasn't too affected, having spent most of his life living in the wilderness anyway.
Family: Mother: Sheena, no Information Father: Unknown Sisters: Airea, Dora, Both deceased.
Role play sample: Alastair lay on a small ledge in the forest, watching as the sun slid down behind the hills. He was bathed in it's golden light, revelling in the warmth it laid upon his face. He closed his eyes and thought about his life. Sure, it was rough at times, but he enjoyed it, enjoyed the feeling of being free, enjoyed the fact that he could run wherever he wanted in this small sanctuary of his, and most of all, he enjoyed the peace that had came when the humans died out. He raised his head, eyes still closed, and let the cool breeze brush against his face, letting it ruffle his fur.
A small movement to his left interrupted his reverie, and the two abnormal eyes shot open. He raised his ears and sniffed the air, looking in the direction of the noise. A small rabbit hopped out of the bushes, and Alastair stood up, tongue lolling out, and stared at the small creature with curious eyes. The rabbit sniffed the air and looked at Alastair, the two locking eyes for a brief moment before the small rabbit turned and ran away.
Alastair stepped forward, making to chase the animal, but he stopped, glancing to his other side and looking at the half eaten deer carcuss beside him. Hunting had gone well tonight and he had no need to kill the rabbit. With a soft sigh, he lay back down and rested his head in his paws, watching as the last of the sun's rays glistened from the hills before leaving the land in darkness to wait for the coming of the soft light of the moon. Alastair, too was waiting for the moon to rise. It was a special night for him, for it was on this night exactly a year ago when he first found his freedom from the humans and set a life of his own. Alastair smiled to himself contentedly as the first stars began to twinkle in the dark sky..
